Nail Art: A Promising Career?

Complex.com put out an article recently on the [coolest] and strangest jobs you can get in the Art World. Click this and read it. Now. Go ahead. I'll wait.

I wish I had read this list when I graduated from UArts in 2003.

Guess what one of the jobs is? Nail Art! Seriously? Sign me up!

But really... HOW do I get started in this profession immediately?


Oh and by the way... a few of my college buddies are actually on this list. Check out #s 1 and 36. Props to Joey, Brooks (FreshMeltWater), Tom and Jay (Sedso). You guys are awesome.

Studio

Here are some shots of the current state of my studio (I totally shoved all of my crap in the closet to make it look all pretty for my house blog, Secondhand Home.) Some day I'll post what it looks like while I'm working... still pretty, but a total mess of paint, jars, paper, eraser dust, pencils and more.

My Humps

These paintings were made for a show titled My Humps at Amberella last spring. (Inspired by that lovely song by the Black Eyed Peas of course!)

I've entered them in the ArtUNleashed show at UArts and you'll be able to peep/ buy them on April 13th if you are so inclined.
